Basecamp Ultimate Urban Wilderness Competition – Terms and Conditions

  1. Competition Period
    The Basecamp Ultimate Urban Wilderness Competition (“the Competition”) runs from 8 September 2025 to 31 October 2025, closing at 23:59 (SAST) on the final day. Entries submitted after this time will not be eligible.

  2. How to Enter
    Participants may enter the Competition in the following way: Social Media Entry: Like the official Basecamp Facebook page, follow the page, tag 3 friends, and comment “Camping King” or “Camping Queen” on the official competition post. This counts as one valid entry.

  3. Eligibility
    The Competition is open to South African residents only, aged 18 years or older.

    Employees of Basecamp, Agrinet (Pty) Ltd, Senwes, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

  4. Prize
    The prize is Basecamp outdoor gear to the total value of up to R7,500 (including VAT) in the form of a voucher to buy from the online store.

    The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash.

    Products bought are not returnable for cash.

  5. Winner Selection and Announcement
    One winner will be selected via a random draw conducted after the competition closes.

    The winner will be contacted via direct message on Facebook/Instagram.

    If the winner cannot be contacted within 72 hours, a new winner will be drawn

  6. General Terms
    By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

    Basecamp reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who has not complied with these Terms.

    Basecamp reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice, should circumstances arise outside of its control.

    By entering, participants grant Basecamp permission to use their name and/or likeness for promotional purposes, including announcing the winner publicly, without additional compensation or prior approval.

    Personal information collected during the entry process will be used solely for the administration of the Competition and in accordance with the POPI Act.
